The new Heathens Album, “Alpha”. A dark work, intimate and mature that embodies seemingly distinct emotions such as anger and sadness. Composed in two years, “Alpha” is a careful reflection and a critical view at some social behavior in our own day. It deal with topics such as praise of critical thinking, behaviours free from dogmas, it explores taboos and constraints of the society and is critical towards the hazardous use of tools such as Internet and mass media to generate misinformation.
Recorded and produced by Tommaso Mantelli (Captain Mantell) in his Groove Studio, “Alpha” is a journey into sounds and imaginative atmospheres that combine Radiohead and Massive Attack, Knife and certain Central European IDM, visions of Lynch and Von Trier, readings of Louis-Ferdinand Celine and Bertrand Russell
