Cesare Cera’s first musical project with recording experience (from 1995 onwards he became Black Mighty Wax). He began his career on the music scene in the late 1970s, playing as a drummer and percussionist with various groups on the funk-jazz and rock scene, with live and in-studio experiences until the early 1990s. At that time, with the explosion of house music, Cesare Cera found the inspiration to start his first record productions by collaborating with Guido “Soundhands” Caliandro & Elise and giving life to the group BE NOIR, the name comes from the stage name he had chosen for his first 12″ released as Mr. Be Noir. The trio’s first single was “Love Themes” in various versions appreciated by the most eclectic DJs. Then came “Give me your love”, released in 1991, Be Noir received an excellent response from DJs in the United States, the United Kingdom, France and even Japan, achieving good results also in specialized charts around the world. Then “It’s Gonna Be Alright” confirmed the trio’s Soulful style, but then each of them dedicated themselves to individual projects even if Soundhands or Elise collaborated on Cesare Cera’s projects under the name Black Mighty Wax. Today, 3 songs have been recovered in various unreleased versions that will be released by Irma Records in the coming months
