THE FUNK SOUL BROTHERS

The Funk Soul Brothers are a project linked to the Italian acid jazz, funk, and nu-jazz scene, orbiting around Irma Records. Their name has appeared on various compilations and singles released by the label since 2024, often in collaboration with Bebo Best and other artists from the IRMA stable.

Born within the new Italian groove scene, the collective blends old-school funk, soul, breakbeat, and nu-jazz with modern sounds and dancefloor influences, frequently collaborating with producers like Bebo Best and other artists from the IRMA family. Their productions have appeared on numerous compilations dedicated to contemporary Italian funk, distinguishing themselves for their vintage grooves, black music atmospheres, and references to ’70s and ’80s funk culture.
