SOULSTANCE

Under this pseudonym, brothers Enzo and Gianni Lo Greco (LO GRECO BROS), after several productions over the years—four albums released and numerous remixes and singles featured on internationally renowned compilations—have finally realized their dream, inspired by extensive composition and arrangement work. The lineup and songwriting clearly reference the dreamy sounds of Nordic landscapes and jazz-inspired dreamlike visions, rich with atmospheric carpets and sonic textures almost like cinematic and pictorial tales.

In the past, Lo Greco Bros have contaminated their sounds in a mix of apparently different genres but rich in common elements such as improvisation and psychedelia with a hint of energy typical of the Lo Greco Bros rhythm section and the fusion with new electronic sounds, inspired by important authors and artists such as those of the famous German label E C M: Kenny Wheeler, Jan Garbarek, Eberhard Weber, Michael Brecker, Claus Ogermann, Vincent Mendoza, Michel Colombier … and many others.

Soulstance’s project is very ambitious and takes place in an avant-garde musical context, as is right for long-standing composers like them. The artistic value of the musicians who collaborated on the project gives a great artistic strength of an excellent level in the performances and in the creativity of improvisation, which are invaluable and indispensable.
