Monsieur Blumenberg is an Italian musical project linked to the Irma Records label, particularly the lounge, nu-jazz, and electronic music scene that developed between the late 1990s and early 2000s. The project is associated with Federico Montefiori (of Montefiori Cocktail), who represents its creative and compositional soul, and is part of the “cocktail music” movement and the fusion of cinematic sounds, jazz, lounge, and experimental electronica.
The album Musique et Couleurs (2001) represents one of the project’s key releases, characterized by evocative atmospheres, cinematic influences, and arrangements that recall exotic soundscapes, bossa nova, jazz, and soundtrack music.
