ELEGANT PEOPLE

Elegant People is an Italian jazz-funk and contemporary fusion project, born as a freer and more experimental expression of the artistic journey of brothers Enzo and Gianni Lo Greco, also known as the Lo Greco Bros. The project is part of a highly sophisticated music scene, where jazz meets funk, soul music, and modern electronic influences, while maintaining a strong connection to the tradition of 1970s electric jazz. Artistically, Elegant People is not a fixed band with a stable lineup, but rather a constantly evolving musical collective. Around the core of the Lo Greco brothers, various musicians from the Italian and international jazz and funk scene alternate, contributing to a sound that is always dynamic and never repetitive. This approach allows the project to maintain a strong element of improvisation and interaction between the musicians, typical of the jazz language.

Elegant People’s sound is distinguished by a balance between groove and harmonic refinement: deep, pulsating bass lines, nuanced drumming, and often enveloping keyboards create a solid foundation upon which elegant melodies and improvised sections are grafted. The result is music that can be both relaxed and carefully followed to grasp its technical and compositional complexity. The project fits naturally into the broader journey of the Lo Greco Bros, who over the years have developed various groups and aliases (such as Soulstance and other parallel projects), always maintaining a strong identity tied to contemporary jazz and the cross-fertilization of genres. In this sense, Elegant People represents one of the most “jazzish” and sophisticated aspects of their production.
