Released almost a year ago for IRMA records, “Epsilon” represents for Drunken Butterfly a return to the sounds of the origins, but with the experience gained in ten years of musical activity. After having explored in recent years, the territories of post-rock in it’s more dilated and psychedelic fields and based more on rich harmonies, “Epsilon” is highlighted by a powerful rhythmic backing on which dark sounds are grafted, and a dry and sharp voice that screams more than singing.
“Epsilon” is a record of our times, fast, modern and nasty, where melodies give way to a sound that is both energetic and direct. “Epsilon” demonstrates, once again, the will of the Band to experience and progress in their artistic career, without any concessions in terms of repeatability and sounds already been used.
This has been a very busy year for Drunken Butterfly. The first pressing of Epsilon has sold out in a few months and got great feedback from critics and public alike. Their Tour saw them performing more than 30 concerts in various Cities throughout Italy, this has contributed in a large increase of their Fan Base showing their enthusiastic participation at what is described as a very Fiery Live Performance!
Now Drunken Butterfly relaunch ‘Epsilon Reloaded’ as a new release, which will contain, in addition to original songs already present in the previous album, remixes of all the tracks . the various Participation in Epsilon Reloaded has been entirely spontaneous: friends, fellow label artists whom with whom the Band has shared some of their musical experiences its history have all helped,
remixing a song of thier choice. The result is a collection of remixes very heterogeneous, ranging from dance to Dub, from electronics to Psychedelia. The participation of artists such as Giulio Ragno Favero alias OFFMUZIEK (Teatro degli Orrori) demonstrates, once again, the will of Drunken Butterfly to advance in their artistic journey, as well as Favero the other Mixes are by: Supabeatz, Sophie Lillienne, Ninfa, Drama Emperor and Andrea Castiglioni, Paolo F. Bragaglia.
